 Distinctly New Zealand, Bedford Road Estate wines are made with grapes from Riversleigh Estate's 20 acre (8ha) Bedford Road vineyard in the Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand's principal wine-producing region.
Ideally situated to take advantage of Marlborough's long, warm autumn days, plus the region's cool nights and the alluvial stony soils of the nearby Wairau River, Bedford Road Estate grows grapes to create single vineyard wines of the highest quality.
Bedford Road Estate wines are made by Riversleigh Estate, which was started in 1998 by two friends who met while farming in Scotland. The Bedford Road label is named for the access road that runs alongside the vineyard.
Sustainable New Zealand winegrowing principles are followed and Bedford Road Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris wines, all produced exclusively for the international market, are certified annually by the NZ Institute of Wine.
